We had our name, now we needed a logo. We needed a graphic designer. (My doodling a logo just wasn’t cutting it!) Of course we didn’t know one! So in September of 2017, I posted on a local Middletown Facebook page the following post: “Hi! ISO of a graphic artist looking to do some “pro bono” work. I am starting a non-profit and I need the name made into a logo (if that makes sense!) Thanks!”
A few days later, I received a message from a friend, Madison, same age as Katie, telling me that she works with a girl at Applebee’s who just graduated from Monmouth University as a graphic design major and would love to do the logo for us. Enter Lennon Cooper!!! I sent Lennon our name, and one idea that I had for the logo. With that little bit of information, Lennon came up with an AMAZING logo for us! Lennon entertained each iteration of the logo that I had. We ended up going with her original! The logo was such an important part of the process. After all, your identity is visually expressed through its logo, which, along your company’s name, is one of the main things that makes your business memorable. The interesting thing is, I have never met Lennon in person! I can’t wait to meet this young woman! We might have to name something after her in the restaurant! She deserves it! If you ever need a graphic artist, let me know and I will connect you with Lennon Cooper…a great graphic designer with a big heart! Thank you Lennon!
